Definition:
A group on edzag digital library refers to a set of users associated logically to apply rules to each user within the group.
Library admin can create a single group at a time or has an option to add multiple groups through “bulk upload”. Users can be associated with the group while creating individual group and edit existing group.
Admin can’t delete group if users are associated with it.
Edzag Digital library provides an additional feature called Bulk Upload to add multiple groups on portal in one go.
Example:
A group is created with name “Class 10th Students” and all students of class 10th will be associated with the group. As a result, any <rules> setup for group “Class 10th Student” will be applied to all users within the group.
What can be achieved by Group:
Group creation allows admin to manage the book issue rules on set of users. Issue rules such as Number of books to be issues at a time, for how many days a book can be issued, per day late return fee amount etc.
